German Formula 3 - 2010 Assen

Van Amersfoort Racing’s Stef Dusseldorp claimed victory in round 11 of the ATS Formula 3 Cup, held at the TT Circuit Assen, Germany, on 7-8 August 2010.

After qualifying on pole for race one with a fastest lap time of 1:32.023, the German driver had a strong start and managed to lead from start to finish. Dusseldorp crossed the finish line 8.524 seconds ahead of Motopark Academy’s Kevin Magnussen and Jimmy Eriksson, who finished second and third respectively.

Race two was dominated by Felix Rosenqvist, who claimed his second victory of the season behind the wheel of his Dallara F307 Mercedes-Benz, after setting the fastest lap time of 1:31.832 during the second qualifying session of the weekend. Behind him Brandl Racing’s Markus Pommer and Motopark Academy’s Rene Binder fought through the entire race for the second position, with Pommer eventually crossing the line in front.

With six rounds left on the calendar Tom Dillmann leads the Drivers’ Standing with 90 points, followed by Daniel Abt with 73 and Kevin Magnussen in third place with 61 points.

Rounds 13 & 14 of the ATS Formula 3 Cup will take place at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz, Germany, on 14-15 August 2010.
